JCP&L is paying homeowners serious money to move to high-efficiency electric heat pump systems — up to $10,000 or more in rebates, with 0% financing repaid right on your utility bill. What the program pays
These are the JCP&L rebates that apply to the systems we install — for homeowners replacing gas, oil, or propane equipment with high-efficiency electric. Your exact rebate depends on the system we design — the best-efficiency equipment earns the biggest numbers.
Rebate amounts are set by JCP&L and depend on your current fuel and the equipment installed. Income-qualified households can receive more, and additional incentives are available for re-ducting, decommissioning the old system, and installing additional heat pump equipment.

JCP&L residential electric customers replacing gas, oil, or propane equipment with qualifying high-efficiency electric systems. The biggest rebates go to homes that make the heat pump their primary heating system. We confirm your eligibility at the free assessment — before you spend anything.
The rebate application is submitted after installation, with your paid invoice and the equipment documentation. Your consultant prepares the package with you and confirms the current payout details for your project during the assessment.
Through the program, qualified homeowners can finance $2,500–$25,000 — net of the rebate — at 0%, repaid as a fixed monthly amount on the utility bill. Terms run 36, 60, or 84 months (up to $10,000) and 120 months for larger projects, with extended terms available for income-qualified customers.
The cold-climate units this program requires are rated for exactly that — and if you’d rather keep a backup, the dual-fuel option pairs a heat pump with your existing furnace and still earns up to $5,000. That’s a fit conversation for the assessment.
